Welcome to Harbor, a relationship app designed exclusively for Cornell students. By accessing or using Harbor, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility

• You must be a current Cornell student aged 18 or older to use Harbor.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and login credentials.
• You must use a valid Cornell email address (@cornell.edu) to create an account.

2. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use Harbor for sexually explicit, exploitative, or harassing behavior.
• Post or share false, misleading, or offensive content.
• Attempt to circumvent Harbor's privacy protections (e.g., screenshotting blurred photos without consent).
• Impersonate another individual or misrepresent your identity.
• Use automated systems or bots to interact with the app.
• Share your account credentials with others.
• Use the app for commercial purposes or spam.
• Provide filler text, non-genuine responses, or misleading information in your profile prompts and answers.
• Create profiles without any photos of yourself, as this creates an unfair imbalance for other users who have shared authentic photos.
• Upload photos that do not include yourself or that misrepresent your appearance.

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate our policies or harm the user experience.

3. Privacy & Data Protection

• We respect your privacy. Only your first name or initial and personality answers are shown upfront.
• Your photo and identifying information are only revealed when both users agree to continue a conversation.
• Images are blurred by default and only become clear through mutual consent and conversation.
• You can delete your account and data at any time in the app settings.
• We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Account Deletion & Data Removal

• You can delete your account and all associated data at any time using the "Delete Account" button in the app settings.
• When you delete your account, we permanently erase all your personal data, images, matches, and conversations from our servers.
• Account deletion is irreversible and cannot be undone.
• We will also remove your data from all messaging and storage systems we use.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

• Harbor may offer paid features via subscriptions (monthly or annually).
• By purchasing a subscription, you authorize Harbor to charge your payment method through our payment processor.
• Subscription terms and pricing are clearly displayed in-app prior to purchase.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Refunds are subject to the policies of your app store (App Store or Google Play).

6. Intellectual Property

• Harbor and its content are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
• You retain ownership of content you upload, but grant us a license to use it for app functionality.
• You may not copy, modify, or distribute our app or content without permission.

7. Disclaimers & Limitations

• Harbor is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• We are not responsible for the conduct of any users or the content of their profiles.
• We do not guarantee that you will find matches or have successful relationships.
• Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service, if any.

8. Modifications

• We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements.
• We will notify you of major changes via email or app notification.
• Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

9. Termination

• We may terminate or suspend your account for violations of these terms.
• You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through the app settings.
• Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
